Just As You Are
Hmmm. When people tell me or others, "Relax!" I usually have some thoughts and feelings. It can be the one-word phrase filled with invalidation, although often extremely well-meant.
And..."Relax." is a little different...especially when it is followed by "You are enough." (etc.)
Consider how much of your tension throughout the day is triggered, at the root of it, by striving to BE and DO "enough"? For most of us humans (if we're honest with ourselves)...it is a lot. The expectations we have for ourselves does not often accommodate for all of life's uncertainties and complexities...and when we tense against what is happening and judge ourselves for a multitude of reasons...we create further suffering.
On this Mindful Monday - consider where you might acknowledge how YOU ARE ENOUGH...just as you are NOW. (Not when you've finished 'x' or when you have done 'y' - RIGHT NOW.)
